Hallucinogens, Ecstasy, and 'Bath Salts'
3/12/12; I am very happy to be able to include as reference material here, a Power Point Presentation by Dr. Tamas Peredy, Medical Director of the Northern New England Poison Control Center. Entitled 'Update on Amphetamine Analogs', it was developed and presented in late 2011, in response to the increasing use incidence of 'bath salts' use. When we get these patients in the emergency department, they are in an extraordinarily disorganized and violent state. I am hoping that this information, and the connection to the Poison Control Center, will help you understand, avoid, and deal with this problem.
